Turning Amazon receipts into QuickBooks-ready records with CartItemizer
Learn how CartItemizer, a Chrome extension, extracts Amazon and Home Depot order lines and exports CSV/IIF files for QuickBooks bookkeeping.

CartItemizer is a free Chrome extension that automates part of that workflow. When you open a supported Amazon or Home Depot order page, the extension reads the visible line items and presents them in a simple table. You can review the split, adjust quantities or amounts, then export the data as a CSV or IIF file ready for QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online.
The tool is built and maintained by Tendercraft, an independent developer, and is hosted on the Chrome Web Store. It does not store your order data on its servers. All parsing happens locally in your browser.
Which order pages are supported?
CartItemizer works with order confirmation pages from Amazon and Home Depot. It looks for the itemized list of products, quantities, prices, and any tax or shipping charges displayed on the page. Pages that use custom layouts or third-party print services may not parse correctly.
How do I use it?
- Install CartItemizer from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open an Amazon or Home Depot order confirmation page while logged in.
- Click the CartItemizer icon in your browser toolbar.
- Review the extracted line items in the popup window.
- Export as CSV or IIF and import the file into QuickBooks.
What should I watch out for?
Because the extension relies on the visible HTML of each page, changes to Amazon or Home Depot layouts can break parsing until the developer updates the extension. Users should always verify exported totals against the original order before importing.
The developer asks that users do not share private order data when requesting support or giving feedback.
Where can I get help or give feedback?
Feedback, bug reports, and feature requests can be submitted through the extension’s Chrome Web Store page. The developer is particularly interested in edge cases and unclear first-run instructions.
