The updated card readers support both chip (EMV) cards and contactless payments, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and tap-to-pay credit and debit cards. By covering the major payment methods customers now expect, the hardware helps reduce friction at the point of sale and shortens checkout times.
Because the readers connect to the QuickBooks GoPayment app and the broader QuickBooks ecosystem, each sale is categorized and recorded automatically. This direct integration is the primary advantage over standalone card readers: fewer reconciling entries at month-end and less room for data-entry mistakes.
