QuickBooks in Spanish: the offer terms behind the Mexico signup page

QuickBooks Online is sold in Spanish in Mexico, and its signup terms set rules for trials, discounts, refunds and renewals that we break down.

QuickBooks in Spanish: the offer terms behind the Mexico signup page

From the Spanish-language side of the QuickBooks community, one question keeps coming up: is the software a real option for accounting and invoicing in Mexico. The short answer is yes. QuickBooks Online is sold there, in Spanish, on the standard four plans. One recent thread closed with the vendor’s full offer terms marked as the accepted solution, and those terms repay a slow read.

Is QuickBooks Online available in Spanish for Mexico?

It is. The product is marketed in Mexico under the tier names used elsewhere: Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced. The interface and the signup flow run in Spanish, and the offer conditions are published in Spanish too. The small-business promotion excludes customers based in the United States, which points it at Mexican businesses rather than Spanish speakers in general.

One caveat belongs here. The published terms reserve the vendor’s right to change prices, features, support and service at any time. Plan names travel between markets, but feature sets and prices do not always travel with them. Check the plan details on the signup screen before you commit, not after.

The free trial runs for thirty days

Your first thirty days of QuickBooks Online are free, counted from the date you enroll. To continue after the trial, the terms ask you to authorize a valid card, and the monthly rate then in force applies to your plan. Billing repeats automatically each month until you cancel.

Use the month on real books rather than sample data, because thirty days is enough for a fair test. Set a reminder a few days before day thirty; the charge that follows needs no further approval from you.

Promotional pricing has an end date

Discount offers apply to the monthly price of Simple Start, Essentials, Plus or Advanced from the moment you register. When the promotional window closes, the account moves to the base monthly rate in force at that time. Nothing in the terms guarantees advance notice of the switch. Our advice is to budget on the base price, treat the discount as a bonus, and note the promo end date at signup.

Can you cancel and get a refund?

No. Cancellation stops future charges, and it does not return money already paid. On a monthly plan you keep access through the end of the period you paid for. An annual plan works the same way with a longer runway: cancel mid-term and you receive no refund, but full access continues for the remaining prepaid months. Treat an annual prepay as spent the moment you make it.

Annual billing renews itself

Prepay twelve months and you receive a discount off the rates in force at purchase. The catch sits at renewal. Unless you cancel first, the subscription renews automatically at the twelve-month mark, at the retail price then current for your tier, using the billing details on file. Prices, discounts and terms can all change, so the renewal figure may differ from the price you first paid.

One flexibility offsets this: you can move between tiers at any time, up from Simple Start to Essentials or down from Plus to Essentials.

The small-business discount has conditions

For a limited time, the terms offer 30% off the first 24 months of Simple Start, Essentials or Plus. The conditions matter more than the percentage. Registration requires a minimum of two subscriptions under a single email address, and eligibility is limited to new and trial customers. Customers based in the United States are excluded. The benefit suits someone running two or more companies, not a single-subscription buyer.

The discount covers the first 24 months only, and the base rate resumes afterward. Prices can change at any time under the same terms, so the rate you renew at in two years is unknowable today. Weigh that uncertainty alongside the percentage when you plan a two-company setup.

Before you subscribe

None of this is hidden. It lives in a terms page most people skim on the way to checkout. If you keep one rule from the whole document, keep the refund rule: cancellation stops future billing only, and access runs to the end of what you paid for. Trial length, promotional windows and renewal timing all hang off that same principle.
