QuickBooks en Español: promo pricing, trials, and the cancellation rules

Spanish-language searches for accounting and invoicing software, tagged for the Mexico market, keep steering buyers toward QuickBooks Online and its sign-up offers. The questions that follow are rarely about the software itself. They are about the bill: when the discount ends, when the card is charged, and what cancellation actually returns. We went through the current offer wording so you can plan around it.

The terms behind the Spanish-language offer

Intuit attaches a standard set of conditions to its Spanish-language sign-up pages, and the first line does the most work. The company reserves the right to change prices, features, support, and service at any time. Discounts and conditions are likewise marked as subject to change. Read that before anything else, because it frames every offer that follows.

The promotions apply to the four online tiers: Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. Every discount, trial, and billing arrangement in the terms attaches to those plans. Nothing in the wording extends them elsewhere.

Promotional pricing reverts to the standard rate

Discount offers reduce the monthly price of a plan from the date you register. The reduction lasts only for the promotional period. Once it closes, the account bills at the standard monthly rate then in effect, and the charge recurs automatically each month until you cancel.

This is the mechanism behind the stepped-up statements users ask about. A bill that climbs after a few months is usually the promotion expiring on schedule, not a billing error. The rate you signed up at was never the permanent rate.

Does the free trial convert automatically?

The first thirty days of a subscription are free, counted from the sign-up date. Continuing past that point requires a valid credit card, presented for authorization, and the prevailing monthly fee for your chosen plan is charged to it.

The card request at day thirty surprises trial users who read it as optional. It is not. Without a card on file, access ends when the trial does. With one, billing begins and follows the promotional terms described above.

Annual billing, refunds, and auto-renewal

Annual payment buys twelve months up front at a discount off the going rates. Cancel during the prepaid stretch and you receive no refund. You do keep full access through the rest of the period you paid for.

Unless you cancel first, the subscription renews itself at the twelve-month mark. The renewal uses the retail price in force at that moment, charged to the billing details already on file. The terms describe no fresh confirmation step, so the charge can arrive unannounced.

One lever exists inside the term. You can move up or down between the online plans at any time, which changes what you pay without waiting out the year.

The discount for registering multiple subscriptions

One offer stands apart because it rewards volume. For a limited time, eligible customers can take thirty percent off the first twenty-four months of Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus. The condition is a minimum of two subscriptions registered under a single email address.

Eligibility is narrow. Only new customers and trial users qualify, and the exclusions include customers based in the United States. That last point matters for anyone browsing the Spanish pages while signing up from a US entity. The discount will not apply.

What should you check before the promotional period ends?

A few checks settle most billing disputes before they start. Confirm which plan you selected, since the discount attaches to the plan. Note when the promotional window closes, because the standard rate begins with the following cycle. If you prepaid annually, calendar the renewal date and treat it as a decision deadline. If you are still inside the trial, put the card on file before day thirty if you intend to continue, since access stops otherwise.

Where does cancellation leave you?

Cancellation is available at any time, on monthly and annual plans alike. What it does not do is return money. On a monthly plan, you keep access to the end of the current cycle. On an annual plan, you keep it through the full twelve months you paid for.

Seen that way, the offer terms are less about discounts than about timing. Know the window you paid for. Decide before it closes, not after the charge lands.
