QuickBooks en Español: promo discounts, free trial, and refund terms

We break down the offer terms posted as the accepted answer to a Spanish-language QuickBooks Online question, covering trial, promo, and refund rules.

QuickBooks en Español: promo discounts, free trial, and refund terms

A broad question in Spanish appeared on the QuickBooks community forum, asking what the QuickBooks en Español sign-up offer actually includes. The accepted answer turned out to be the offer terms themselves: promotional pricing, a free trial, annual billing, cancellation rules, and a volume discount for small businesses. We summarize what those terms mean for you, because several of them decide whether a renewal charge surprises you or not.

The promotional discount covers the monthly price

Everything in the answer sits under one reservation: Intuit may change prices, features, support, and service at any time. That sentence frames what follows. The promotional discount applies to the monthly price of QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, or Advanced from the moment you sign up. When the promotional period ends, the base monthly price then in effect takes over. Billing runs automatically each month until you cancel. If your price climbs after a few months, this clause is usually the reason.

Does the 30-day trial stay free?

It does, for exactly 30 days. The trial covers the first 30 days of the subscription, counted from your sign-up date. To keep working in the software past day 30, you must provide a valid credit card for authorization. The card is then charged the monthly fee in effect at that moment for the services you selected. The trial costs nothing; day 31 is a different matter.

Can you cancel, and do you get a refund?

You can cancel at any time. The terms are blunt about money already paid: cancellation brings no refund. You keep access to the subscription through the end of the period you paid for, and then it stops. Monthly subscribers give up a few days of value at most. Annual subscribers have more at stake, and their rules get their own section below.

Annual billing renews on its own

An annual plan is paid up front, in exchange for a discount off the rates in effect. Cancel partway through and the no-refund rule still applies, but you keep full access for the remainder of the 12 months. Renewal is the part that catches people. Unless you cancel beforehand, the plan renews automatically at the 12-month mark, at the retail price in force then, with the billing details on file. You can move up or down between plans at any time, on either billing cycle.

Who qualifies for the 24-month volume discount?

The answer also sets out a limited-time volume offer: 30 percent off the first 24 months on Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus. The eligibility rules are narrow. You must register a minimum of two subscriptions under a single email address. Only new and trial customers qualify. Customers based in the United States are excluded, a detail that matters for Spanish speakers in the US who land on the Spanish-language sign-up pages and assume the offer is theirs.

Where do you check your plan, cancel, or question a charge?

The accepted answer points to the vendor’s current pricing page and its terms of service for the figures in force, and those versions govern. Your own account is the other place to verify. Sign in to QuickBooks Online, open the gear icon, then Account and Settings, then Billing & Subscription.

That page shows your plan, the next charge date, and the price that applies once a promotion ends. The cancel control sits on the same page. On an annual plan, cancel before the 12-month mark, or the renewal charge lands on the card on file.

Charges appear on card statements under Intuit’s name. If one looks wrong, start with the charge history on the billing page. The help options inside QuickBooks Online then reach Intuit’s own billing support. Those channels belong to the vendor, not to us, so a dispute over a vendor charge has to run through them.

The thread closed with terms rather than a workaround, and that is the honest outcome. The discount is real but finite, the trial ends at day 30, and refunds on cancellation do not exist under these terms. Check the billing page before a renewal date, not after it.
