Pro Tax 2026.6.1 Adds Corporate and FX Form Updates
QuickBooks Online Accountant Pro Tax 2026.6.1 adds new corporate schedule lines, provincial credit changes, and FX form updates.

QuickBooks Online Accountant Pro Tax version 2026.6.1 is live, and it brings tax content updates to the corporate module plus form updates in the foreign exchange module. We reviewed the accepted release notes and pulled out the changes that affect Canadian preparers working on returns with fiscal years ending on or before October 31, 2026. We focus here on what changed and where the software now stands.
Returns covered by the release
The 2024-2026 T2 module is now available when a corporation’s fiscal year ends on or before October 31, 2026. Federal T2 paper filing and internet filing are certified, and Alberta AT1 paper and internet filing are also certified. The T25QCC form is available for the first time with this release.
That support window covers taxation years beginning on or after January 1, 2024 and ending on or before October 31, 2026. A preparer can move ahead with those corporate files inside the product without waiting for a separate filing certification notice.
Schedule 3 changes for dividends and Part IV tax
Schedule 3 now reflects two changes from the Canada Revenue Agency. A new question in Section 2 at line 100 lets a corporation self-identify as exempt from Part IV tax under specific provisions of the Income Tax Act. The change is designed for qualifying corporations, including certain Crown corporations and tax-exempt entities, and it puts the exemption status directly on the schedule.
The dividend detail table in Part 1 adds a new column at line 235. It captures taxable dividends that are deductible from income under paragraph 113(1)(c) of the Act, which applies to dividends received from foreign affiliates. The column labels in that table have been updated so preparers can see where the new line sits in the flow.
Ontario credit lines on Schedule 5
The Ontario portion of Schedule 5 gains two new lines. Line 421 captures the non-refundable portion of the Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit for the Ontario corporate income tax calculation. A second line supports the Ontario Shortline Railway Investment Tax Credit, which was introduced in the 2024 Ontario Budget.
The shortline railway credit is a refundable corporate income tax credit. It applies to eligible expenses incurred between May 15, 2025 and January 1, 2030, and it offers up to $8,500 per track mile each year for track maintenance, rehabilitation, and infrastructure improvements. To claim the credit, a corporation must first hold a Certificate of Eligibility from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Schedule 5 calculates and claims the refundable credit on line 476, and the amount then flows to line 812 of the T2 Jacket.
Nova Scotia adjustment
For Nova Scotia, line 550, the provincial political contribution tax credit, has been removed from the total of Nova Scotia non-refundable tax credits. That keeps the provincial non-refundable credit calculation current.
FX module form updates
The release also carries form updates for the FX module. The accepted notes describe the corporate module changes and the FX form updates together, which makes this a broad update for firms that prepare both domestic and foreign exchange returns.
What this resolves
Before this release, a preparer with a 2024-2026 corporate file may have hit missing schedule lines or a filing path that was not yet certified. The update clears that gap for Federal and Alberta returns within the supported fiscal year window. Schedule 3 now handles the Part IV tax exemption question and the deductible dividend from a foreign affiliate without external workarounds. The Ontario lines give the software a place to carry the manufacturing and shortline railway credits through to the jacket, and Nova Scotia’s credit total no longer includes the removed political contribution credit.
If you use Pro Tax for Canadian corporate returns, check that your client’s fiscal year end falls inside the supported window and review the changed schedules when preparing the current return. Version 2026.6.1 is the release that carries these updates, so the new lines and certified filing paths should be available now.
